SDSU Children's Center Solar Power
The San Diego State University Children's Center is where the children of university employees, students and others grow, play and learn. It's also generating its own renewable energy, thanks to a solar power system designed, built and installed by Sullivan Solar Power. Our company has completed two phases of solar power installations at the center. The first consisted of a 29 kilowatt-AC system and 144 solar panels. The second phase added a 13.8 kilowatt-AC system and 48 Sunpower modules to power the center. All the solar power equipment was installed on car ports in the center parking lot. Sullivan Solar Power is proud to be helping raise children in an environment that is healthy and powered by renewable and clean green solar power.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 20,724 to 27,632 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 34,264 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $6,079 in Solar Power Savings.
