San Diego City College
Consisting of a traditional roof-mounted system and unique vertical arrays, the Sullivan Solar Power installation at this site was installed as part of new construction. 90 Sharp solar modules, manufactured in the United States, comprise the roof-mounted array. 286 Sharp solar modules, manufactured in the United States, comprise the vertical arrays. The cumulative output of all arrays is expected to produce 67,588 kWhrs per year. The result is a LEED gold project with the largest vertical array of its type in the United States. This system was installed in concert with Southland Electric and Rudolph and Sletten.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 7,519,500 to 10,026,000 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 12,432,240 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $2,205,720 in Solar Power Savings.
