San Diego Solar Power: Kyocera Headquarters
Kyocera is a global company and a leading maker of solar panels and other electronic components. In 2015, the company hired Sullivan Solar Power to install a solar power system to help power the company's San Diego headquarters building on Balboa Avenue.
The 5 kilowatt-AC system we designed, built and installed at the Kyocera San Diego headquarters consists of 20 Kyocera solar panels and a single SMA inverter.
The solar power components were roof mounted, out of sight to everyone but airplanes flying overhead, but helping keep the Kyocera building and San Diego greener.
On average, each year a solar energy system this size will:
Generate 6,291 to 8,388 kilowatt hours of clean renewable solar power.
Avoid the creation of 10,401 pounds of harmful carbon dioxide released into our air.
Provide the system owner with $1,845 in Solar Power Savings.
